Asha Negi is an Indian television actress. She played the role of Apeksha Malhotra[1] in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain and is currently playing the role of Purvi Kirloskar in Pavitra Rishta.

Asha Negi was born and raised in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. She completed her studies from St. Mary's Higher Secondary School Dehradun and did her graduation in commerce from DAV College, Dehradun. After finishing college, she worked at a Travel Agency in Bangalore.[2] She eventually moved to Mumbai to pursue an acting career.[3]

She is dating Rithvik Dhanjani, who is also her co-star in Pavitra Rishta.[4]

Career

She started her career as a model in 2009 after she won the title of Miss Uttarkhand 2009 during her college days. She appeared in various advertisements for companies and did photo shoots.

Negi began her acting career in 2011, playing Apeksha Malhotra in the Sony TV's Balaji Telefilms show Bade Achhe Lagte Hain.[5]

Her first major role came in Zee TV's Balaji Telefilms show Pavitra Rishta, as Purvi Arjun Kirloskar. In 2012, her on-screen relationship with Arjun (Rithvik Dhanjani) was cited as one of eight relationships on current soap operas with "sizzling screen chemistry" that help boost the TRPs for the shows.[5]

Negi has also performed in the show Punar Vivah and at the 5th Boroplus Gold Awards. She was also nominated to for Best actress at Gold Awards and Best Jodi with Dhanjani at Gold Awards 2013. She has also performed in Dance, India, Dance Super Moms.

Negi and Dhanjani have also performed at various concerts in South Africa, Israel, Singapore and USA (New York).
